Toronto's First Family Yoga Studio

Since becoming Toronto’s first Family Yoga Studio, YogaBuds™ has provided family members (children, siblings, parents, step-parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles) the opportunity to practice a joyful, playful and creative form of yoga together.

In these unique, interactive family yoga classes and workshops, family members share in the joy of yoga, have fun and connect in healthy, positive and nonverbal ways. While exploring yoga, family members experience both fun – and calm – together. The bond that occurs is a gift each member gives to each other.

Taking the time to connect

In our time-famine, busy stressful world, parents desire a sense of togetherness and connection with their children.

Choosing to take a family yoga class at YogaBuds™ enables family members of all ages to spend special quality time together and to connect, to balance and to foster a sense of togetherness as well as derive the many benefits of exercise.

Classes are fun, non-competitive and creative.

Every class is unique

Each theme-based family yoga class is comprised of rituals, cooperative games and stories, partner work, and a guided visualization and relaxation component. Body awareness, postural alignment, breath awareness, and stress-reduction and breath techniques are also incorporated. Underlying all elements is a focus on positive and loving interaction.

The key aspect of each magical family yoga class is the creative and joyful way that YogaBuds™ director Temmi Ungerman Sears interweaves the yoga process within the matrix of the family relationship. Combining her many years of yoga teaching experience with her expertise as an Expressive Therapist and her intuitive understanding of relationship, Temmi creates a sacred space for love and connection to flourish.
