I was fortunate to have attended one of Temmi’s
“YogaArt Workshop for Parent & Child” weekends
with my daughter Alexea. The workshop was indeed an “experience
of magical interaction” between my daughter and I.
I have decided to make my dreams become a reality and started
my Yoga Journey to teach children. I could think of no better
place to start than with an experienced, knowledgeable instructor
who's love for yoga is both inspiring and infectious.
“Through the YogaBuds™ Lens” approach uses creative
techniques to keep children of all ages engaged in their yoga
practice. The unique style incorporates a lot of fun into
each class, while encouraging kids to find their inner-peace.
Temmi’s method of teaching yoga to children includes
the use of animated poses, props, music, art, games, storytelling,
and the imagination, to help stimulate their senses and stretch
and strengthen children’s' developing bodies.
I look forward to embracing Temmi’s creative and knowledgeable
skills to inspire children and to develop a personal, creative
and a fun yoga practice.
Temmi thank you so much for a wonderful workshop, and I look
forward to learning from you in the future.

"A big thank-you for an informative
and inspiring weekend! You shared so many aspects of teaching
yoga to children with professionalism, clarity, warmth and
authenticity. I appreciated the way in which you facilitated
the workshop - presenting a large amount of information while
still providing space for lots of questions, sharing and discussion.
Your hand-out booklet is very thorough and well-organized,
and all of your experience in the field and your love and
passion for what you do really came through and brought the
material to life. The weekend has given me much food for thought
and inspiration as I continue on my own yoga and teaching
journey. I also enjoyed the intimate learning setting with
a small group in your absolutely gorgeous studio complete
with tea and delicious home-made treats. Thanks again!"

It was a truly inspirational weekend for
me ... in several ways - I am really charged and jazzed about
teaching yoga to kids - your words, ideas and examples - have
all helped to fire up my imagination. It has allowed me to
reconnect with my creative (childlike) self & I believe
I am ready to move ahead. Also your words & living example
of yoga off-the-mat have given me much fuel to ponder in my
ongoing quest to lead an authentic, heart-centred life.
Thank you again for giving us so much, yet encouraging us
to go out & make it our own.
Respectfully,
-Debra Luscombe, Barrie
Temmi - amazed with her training and experience.
She is able to take this relevant, intense expertise and present
it to her students in an open, friendly style. She offers
practical approaches and content. Excellent!

Temmi -
Thank you so much for your workshop "Through the YogaBuds™
Lens". Your love of kids and yoga really shines through.
I found the weekend to be informative, enjoyable and inspiring.
You provided many tools and given much food for creative thought.
It was just what I needed at this time and I have already
recommended it to other yoga teachers.
-Sharon Salsberg, Toronto
I absolutely loved your presentation, the degree with which
you shared your love, passion, vision, knowledge and experience
was outstanding, so I'm truly grateful and honored to have
been a part of the weekend. Having said that, as well, I would
love to see you present the more "experiential"
component of teaching children yoga. Please keep me posted
on that one!
-Lisa Matteo
Temmi is clearly a hit with kids. Her ideas and insight
were incredibly valuable and extraordinarily creative. After completing the
Through the YogaBuds™ Lens Workshop, I feel like I have a good base to
start reaching out, capturing and impacting the most precious audience there
is. The ones who have a real chance at changing the health of the world,
our children.
-Tina
I believe that you thoroughly covered enough material for
any of us with yoga training, and with planning, to organize a successful series of children's classes. Your combination of enthusiasm and integrity is as
instructive as it is inspiring. To learn from someone who obviously loves what she teaches, and whom she teaches, is a privilege. You encouraged us to be aware of our own fears, and gave us honest examples of your own challenges. I think your 12-Week Objectives & Concepts
plan is a wonderful guide, which I will definitely refer to.
In all, let me thank you for a wonderful, informative, and even tasty weekend. I realize how much time andenergy it takes to prepare and execute such a workshop and you did it with absolute success.
With gratitude,
-Jennie Akse
I really enjoyed meeting you and the rest of the participants
in the two-day workshop. I appreciated all the information that you shared about Iyengar
yoga (terminology), as well as your personal experiences in how the YogaBuds™ program
evolved. Getting your student's perspective was also informative.
The handout had lots of great ideas and practical applications
as well. I am a visual learner and I learn best through doing
so I enjoyed participating in the various games that you did
with us. I have even tried out the "Frogs on a Lilypad"
game with my group of children in the gym during our yoga
time and they loved it! The two-day workshop also gave me
some personal realizations of what I need to further explore
as well as continuing my own yoga journey. The resources you
had available were also helpful. I will see where my journey
leads me.

Temmi’s easy-going nature made
me feel at ease... By using personal experience, Temmi
helped me to better understand the dos and don’ts
of the classroom. I feel that she fostered a natural
give-and-take flow of information. I liked how the presentation
was organized, and I feel that Temmi used a solid and
logical structure in sharing an enormous amount of information.
I know I can use this material in my everyday practice
and teaching. Temmi was an excellent facilitator...she
has an entire library of awesome ideas – all in
her head! Temmi provides lots of inspiration!
-Natalie Westlake, Ottawa
I
have found your
presentation
very helpful....
I continue to
refer back to
your material,
both from my
notes and from
your binder
to find inspiration
and to assure
myself that
I am on the
right path.
Your presentation
was both informative
and thought
provoking. I
found the weekend
both enjoyable
and hard work.
In particular
your question
to us about
why we want
to teach children
was a very important
one for me and
I explored it
very seriously.
It stirred up
the pot inside
and helped me
to really search
my soul... And
I thank you
for asking this
very important
question. Please
keep asking
it... Thank
you for bringing
us all together,
I learned a
great deal from
everyone sharing
their experiences.

Overall I found the sessions very inspiring
-- I have been teaching kids for almost a year and your experience
helped answer some of my questions about expectations and
how to adjust the yoga and make it appealing to kids. As with
anything I think the real answer to those questions is to
release all expectations and you helped me see that. Thank
you. It was also awesome to be part of a community which values,
supports and has experience with teaching kids yoga... it
was awesome. I am still buzzing with the energy generated
by the ideas and the community. Thank you again.

Thank you for the wonderful weekend. You
gave us an incredible amount of information which will be
very valuable. Thank you for sharing your ideas and format
for teaching. The amount of time, effort, dedication and passion
that you put into your work really shows. The weekend was
extremely helpful for me and gave me lots of great ideas.
I went away very inspired and excited to bring this into class.
This past weekend has helped me to look at researching as
"play" not as "work". So for that I am
grateful. Thank you again for your inspiration and insight.
-Lorri
Merrell, Etobicoke
Thanks for a really wonderful opportunity
and experience. You took a “leap of faith” in
sharing your information with us. Thank you for trusting us.
I appreciate all the work you put into preparing for us and
the level of professionalism, BALANCED with the intimacy you
created with our small group. Your binder, the agenda posted,
being mindful of the time, tea and snacks, and other touches
all made it a positive experience for me. You have really
inspired me and given me some of the tools I need...
-Shereen,
Toronto
I felt honoured and privileged to be a part
of your workshop. Your kind and gentle spirit intertwined
with your knowledge filled us with warmth and learning throughout
the whole weekend, inspiring us to be the best we can be in
every way that we can be. Your sincerity, integrity and love
of what you do is something that I hope that I too reflect
to the children and their parents. Your yoga skills and purism
is something that I can only aspire to. You have a gift that
is so special that I truly believe that the world and her
children are being blessed through you.

I just wanted to thank you for a most wonderful
weekend. I am thrilled to have been part of the YogaBuds™ workshop.
I very much enjoyed hearing about your philosophy of teaching
yoga to children. You really inspired me – I feel rejuvenated
and ready to continue on my way and find my own style of teaching.
I really liked your hands-on ideas – Frogs on a Lilypad,
Walk of Life – I’ll be using those immediately!
I would very much like to take your second workshop and would
be interested in learning how you incorporate expressive arts
and yoga, as well as get more ideas for teaching yoga philosophies
(ie: myths, etc.). Thank you so much – you have so much
to offer to children and teachers!
